Legal Notice

Please read the following legal notice carefully before engaging in any services provided by True North Vows, hereinafter referred to as "the Officiant."

1. Non-legal Advisory

The Officiant does not provide legal advice, legal document preparation, or legal counseling services. It is the responsibility of the couple to ensure they obtain and file the appropriate marriage license with the local government as required by law. 

2. Marriage License Responsibility

It is solely the responsibility of the couple to apply for and secure a valid marriage license prior to the ceremony. The Officiant is not liable for any delays, denials, or legal issues arising from failure to obtain said license. 

3. Submission of License

The Officiant agrees to complete and return the signed marriage license to the appropriate county office, provided the couple has supplied a valid license before the ceremony. The Officiant is not liable for any delays caused by mail or processing errors after submission.  Each license will be mailed to the appropriate office promptly following as "Registered Mail" and kept on file for 30 days.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Any cancellation by the couple must be submitted in writing. Deposits may be non-refundable. Refunds, if applicable, are issued according to the terms outlined in the service agreement or contract.

5. Service Limitations

The Officiant reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason in accordance with local, state, and federal anti-discrimination laws.

6. Force Majeure

The Officiant is not responsible for failure to perform due to events or circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to weather conditions, illness, catastrophic or emergency events.

7. Liability Waiver

By engaging the Officiant's service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined in this legal notice.
